When Venipuncture Is Better
When a clinician needs urgent results, when the test isn't on Rythm's panel, when multiple specialized tube types are required, when the sample needs immediate processing or freezing, when a result needs confirmation by a specific method, or in any emergency or acute diagnostic evaluation. At-home testing should expand access to laboratory data.
So Which Is More Accurate?
Neither, universally. A venous sample can produce unreliable results if it's mishandled, hemolyzed, or run on a poorly performing assay; an upper-arm capillary sample produces reliable results when the format, stability window, and method are validated together. Accuracy lives in the full system and building, owning, and validating that full system is exactly what Rythm does.
